Peripherical area occupied by religious orders from the 12th century, the Marais was then invested by the Kings of France, attracting de facto the aristocrats who built their private mansions there. Come enjoy the revival of the area now protected after being abandoned in the 19th century.

Dive into the bourgeois atmosphere of the 19th century wending through the covered passages, real shopping arcades with innovative and refined architecture.

The Montmartre Hill inspired the artists as of the 19th century. Well-known for the Sacred Heart Basilica and the panoramic view, you will also be charmed by its picturesque winding streets.

From de Arch of Triumph to the Concorde Square, enjoy a commented walk on the Champs-Elysées, the most beautiful avenue of the world immortalized by the song of Joe Dassin.

Before the extension of Paris, Auteuil was known for its rural charm. Numerous bourgeois residences flourished, thus initiating the residential vocation of this area of the 16th district. This itinerary will enable to  focus on the architecture: Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modernism.

During this visit we will focus on the changes of these former industrial areas based on the river economy, and that have been restructured from the 1980's with the establishment of tertiary activities.

From the Basin of La Villette to the Cité des Sciences and the Geode, relive the industrial revolution through the history of the Parisian canals and discover an area renovated and dedicated to leisure.

Between the Butte du Chapeau Rouge and the Buttes Chaumont, a bucolic walk which will enable to talk about the development of Paris under the Second Empire and the Third Republic, including the urban planning, the housing and the population.
