My name is Solène Arapoglou.

I was born in Paris. " How lucky you are ! " say the foreign visitors that I received and guided in France, as do the travellers and locals I met during my travels. I have a passion for travel, I love meeting new cultures and new horizons, but I also like to go back to the sources since I realised how beautiful and unique was Paris. What I enjoy about my professional activity: play a part in the dream that live the visitors and make it even better. I travelled in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and I have in my mind some wonderful encounters. This human dimension is near and dear to my heart and underlies the interactions that take place during my visits.

I am dynamic and enthusiastic, I like action and I like people, so I was naturally driven to a professional activity enabling human relationships and geographical mobility.

Throughout my studies, I particularly appreciated history, literature, ancient and modern languages, sociology, history of art and civilisations. Tour guide, there was the job where I belong !

I began by comenting the visits for a river cruise company in Paris. The ease face to audience and the taste for sharing confirmed my choice and I entered the little world of the Seine River. I have also been a tour leader for an incoming tourism agency, which enabled me to know in depth the tourism sector and stakeholders, perfect my level of languages, apply my organisation and responsiveness skills in order to handle the excursion programmes under the best conditions, and expand my professional network.

After six years of working life, I went back to university in order to get the diploma of trilingual national heritage interpreter, that I graduated in june 2009 and that allowed me to obtain the professional certification. I am officially licensed by the Ministère de la Culture and qualified to lead guided tours in cities, museums and landmarks of France.

Today I work as a tour guide with great pleasure ! So do not hesitate to contact me to plan your visits. I perform both group and private guided tours. I adapt to all kinds of audiences : adults on business trip or on holidays, children with their family or with their teacher, people with disabilities... I deal with all kinds of customers, wether they are travel and event agencies, companies interested in organising a visit as part of a congress or a seminar, works councils, associations and individuals.
